Ministry working diligently to promote public health and sound ecology

Noting that the necessary quarantine is in place as regards imported and exported cereal products, he stated that efforts are equally underway to identify and eliminate diseases and pests.

Mr. Tekleab further pointed out that priority attention is being given to the task of doing away with expired pesticides in a short period, and that the necessary preparations have already been made to this end.

He went on to say that the department is actively engaged in ensuring the safety of milk and meat products, as well as animal feeds, and added that any institution is duty-bound to place a trade mark that denotes the content of the product.
