Tessenei, 21 April 2010 – The substantial investment being made by the Government towards the development of education is registering concrete outcome, stated students in Tessenei sub-zone.
They explained that the number of schools in different parts of the country, especially remote areas has increased double-fold, which in turn expanded educational opportunity at all levels in both quality and quantity.
The students stated that at present, almost all schools are being equipped with qualified teachers and the necessary school facilities, thus facilitating the teaching-learning process. They went on to say that they are striving to avail themselves of the available opportunity.
The students further indicated that there exists conducive ground for the teaching-learning process, and that the schools are equipped with sufficient reference books, modern laboratory and computers.
The head of schools in Tessenei sub-zone, Mr. Mohammed Hassen, pointed out that as a result of the vigorous endeavors exerted in the post-independence period, the number of schools in the sub-zone has increased from 4 to 23, and thus the number of students has increased considerably.
