Asmara, 26 April 2010 – The NUEW branch in the Central region gave a 6-month long training on weaving to 28 family bread winner women.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the regional Administrator, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, noted that the endeavors being made by the Union to improve women’s standard of living are bearing fruitful outcome and that the Administration would extend the necessary support to this end.
The head of the NUEW branch in the region, Ms. Tekh’a Tesfamichael, called on the trainees to make good use of the newly acquired skill in upgrading their living condition. She further explained that the Union is doing its level best to improve women’s socio-economic wellbeing.
The graduates received certificates and prizes from Mr. Kahsai and Ms. Tsega Gaim, head of social service at the NUEW.
