Damaged bridge on Elabered-Debresina road repaired

A damaged bridge on the Elabered-Debresina road has been repaired through the concerted effort of the local inhabitants and the concerned governmental institution, according to Mr. Gebru Haile, head of the infrastructure department in Anseba region.
Elaber’ed, 3 May 2010 – A damaged bridge on the Elabered-Debresina road has been repaired through the concerted effort of the local inhabitants and the concerned governmental institution, according to Mr. Gebru Haile, head of the infrastructure department in Anseba region.

Commending the initiative taken by the inhabitants of She’ib-Seleba and Debresina, he said that the undertaking attests to the popular participation being demonstrated in the nation-building process. Administrators and inhabitants of Shieb-Seleba, Debresina, Era Tahtai and Eden said that the repair of the bridge would play vital role in development endeavors in the area.

Reports indicated that the bridge has now been expanded from 7 to 11 meters, and that a similar popular campaign was undertaken on the  Baluwa – Era Tahtai road in 2006.
