Presidents Isaias And Mubarak Hold Talks On Enhancing Eritrean-Egyptian Relations And Regional As Well As International Issues
President Isaias Afwerki and the Egyptian leader Mohammed Hosni Mubarak held talks today at Sharm Asheik on enhancing bilateral relations, and regional as well as international issues of mutual interest to the two countries.
Asmara, 4 May 2010 – President Isaias Afwerki and the Egyptian leader Mohammed Hosni Mubarak held talks today at Sharm Asheik on enhancing bilateral relations, and regional as well as international issues of mutual interest to the two countries.
In the meeting, the two leaders reached understanding to expand trade and economic ties between Eritrea and Egypt for the interest of both peoples. Moreover, Presidents Isaias and Hosni Mubarak held extensive discussion regarding developments in the African continent in general and the Horn region in particular, as well as international issues of mutual interest to Eritrea and Egypt.
On arrival from Qatar at Sharm Asheik Airport in the morning hours today, the President was accorded warm welcome.
It is to be recalled that President Isaias left yesterday on a working visit to Qatar and Egypt at the invitation of Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.
During his stay in Qatar, the President held talks on development of Eritrean-Qatari relations and regional as well as international issues of mutual interest to both countries.
