Progress registered in construction of Aligidir dam

Eng. Fikreyesus Tsegai, head of the construction project of Aligidir dam, said that satisfactory work accomplishment is being registered. He indicated that about 80% of the task has been finalized.

Aligidir, 8 May 2010 – Eng. Fikreyesus Tsegai, head of the construction project of Aligidir dam, said that satisfactory work accomplishment is being registered. He indicated that about 80% of the task has been finalized.

The dam is expected to hold about 7.5 million cubic meters of water and that the construction of 700-meter canal has already began through the concerted effort of the Bidho and Himbol Construction Companies and EDF members.

Eng. Fikreyesus commended the active participation of the inhabitants in the undertaking.
