Dams in Tselim Kelay and Adi Ma’elel in the Shambuko sub zone are playing a major role in boosting livestock production, according to the inhabitants. Shambuko, 12 May 2010- Dams in Tselim Kelay and Adi Ma’elel in the Shambuko sub zone are playing a major role in boosting livestock production, according to the inhabitants.

Reports from the area indicated that the location of the dams in an area very conducive for animal grazing enabled the inhabitants to receive easy access to water sources for their livestock.

The Teselim Kelay and Adi Ma’elel dams were constructed in 2007 and 2008 respectively at a cost of over 9 million Nakfa.
