Touring Women Express Admiration For Development Endeavors

Women from the town of Keren who conducted a tour of the Gash Barka region stated that they have been able to witness first hand the economic progress that has been achieved in the region. Keren, 15 May 2010- Women from the town of Keren who conducted a tour of the Gash Barka region stated that they have been able to witness first hand the economic progress that has been achieved in the region.

The women told ERINA that they particularly admired the development achieved in constructing roads and bridges as well as the irrigational farming activities. They went on to add that the factories, dams, and other projects constructed in different parts of the country demonstrate the speedy pace of development the nation is going through.

The coordinator of the tour, Ms. Jemila Osman, said that the objective of the tour was to observe the different development endeavors being carried out in the country and that the women who participated in the tour can now reach a common understanding from what they have been able to see.

Pointing out that seeing is believing, the women called for similar tours for youth and students.
