Inhabitants Of Elabered Sub Zone Receiving Efficient Potable Water Supply Services

Owing to government efforts in the past 19 years, 80% of the inhabitants of Elabered have been able to receive efficient potable water supply services, according to the acting administrator of the sub zone, Mr. Fitwi Gebremeskel. Elabered, 16 May 2010- Owing to government efforts in the past 19 years, 80% of the inhabitants of Elabered have been able to receive efficient potable water supply services, according to the acting administrator of the sub zone, Mr. Fitwi Gebremeskel.

Mr. Fitwi told ERINA that 27 wells and 2 dams have been built in the sub zone as a result of the collaborative efforts of the administration of the Anseba Region, the people and development partners. Moreover, 18 water stations and number of wells and water reservoirs have been constructed in the administrative areas of Hadish Adi, Deki Andu, Dembe Habtetsion, Wasdemba and are now providing efficient services. Mr. Fitwi further added that efforts are underway to install modern water pipelines in Shieb-Seleba and Halib-Mentel.

The acting administrator then called on the inhabitants to use the provided services responsibly.
