Asmara, 18 May 2010 – In a meeting they held in London, Eritrean nationals residing in the UK expressed commitment to strengthen organizational capacity, and thus enhance contribution to the national cause.

In the meeting focusing on the objective situation in the Homeland and the integrated national resolute rebuff, the Eritrean Ambassador to the U.K. and Ireland, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, gave briefings on the ongoing people-based diplomatic activities and the outcome registered. He further explained that the development programs being implemented on priority basis are bearing encouraging outcome.

A representative of YPFDJ, Ms. Semhar Gebreab, on her part highlighted the participation demonstrated by Eritrean youths all over the world in rebuffing anti-Eritrea acts of conspiracy and hostility.

Likewise, the chairman of task force in the UK in the peace demonstration that was staged in Geneva gave briefings on the organization and participation, as well as the experience acquired in this regard. He went on to say that on top of its strong message of the Eritrean people’s  noble value of resolute rebuff and never kneel down, the demonstration amply symbolizes the unity of the people and the Government of Eritrea.

The participants of the meeting set up a donation project towards achieving food security that would continue for the next 3 years, according to reports.
