Southern Region: Preparations Finalized To Colorfully Celebrate Independence Day
The necessary preparations have been finalized in the Southern region to colorfully celebrate the 19th anniversary of Independence Day, according to the holidays coordinating committee in the region. Dekemhare, 18 May 2010 – The necessary preparations have been finalized in the Southern region to colorfully celebrate the 19th anniversary of Independence Day, according to the holidays coordinating committee in the region.
Various programs are scheduled to take place in the course of the celebrations that would take place in Dekemhare town at the regional level in which 12 sub-zones of the region would participate. Accordingly, carnival and cultural shows, as well as sports activities would be featured, in addition to decoration of building complexes.
The Administrator of the town, Mr. Ephrem Gebrekristos, explained that every resident is making the necessary preparation to colorfully celebrate the great Day. To this end, intensive preparations were in the process for more than 2 months, he added.
Meanwhile, the inhabitants of Adi-Keih and Debarwa sub-zones are making utmost preparation to celebrate Independence Day in a patriotic spirit.
