Carnival show conducted in Asmara streets

In continuation of the programs being featured to colorfully celebrate the 19th anniversary of Independence Day, administrative areas and institutions staged carnival shows yesterday in the main streets of the capital.

Asmara, 22 May 2010 – In continuation of the programs being featured to colorfully celebrate the 19th anniversary of Independence Day, administrative areas and institutions staged carnival shows yesterday in the main streets of the capital. 

The carnival in which 23 institutions and 6 administrative areas took part highlighted the culture and values of the Eritrean people, as well as the development drive and the national resolute rebuff. The Minister of Public Works opened the carnival that continued for about 6 hours.

Thousands of nationals observed the carnival with deep impression and pride, while a number of foreigners voiced strong impression with the carnival.

The participants of the celebration expressed statisfaction with the presentation and stated that this year’s Independence Day is special as it is being celebrated at a time when the Eritrean people are dealing resolute rebuff to acts of conspiracy.
