Eritrean Postal Service Strives to Provide More Efficient Services

The Eritrean Postal Service is striving to strengthen its activities through introducing modern electronic equipments, stated Mr. Asmalash Gebreyesus, manager of the organization. Asmara, 23 May 2010 – The Eritrean Postal Service is striving to strengthen its activities through introducing modern electronic equipments, stated Mr. Asmalash Gebreyesus, manager of the organization.

In an interview with ERINA, he explained that the activities of postal service continue to grow as it expanded and modernized its services since independence. Mr. Asmelash also added that relentless efforts are being made to further extend postal services to remote areas of the country. He went on to say that Eritrean Postal Service in the past year has rendered services of 1.8 million letters.

Moreover, Mr. Asmalash stated that the institution provides various training courses to upgrade the capacity of its manpower and explained that some of the future programs of the service include opening branch offices, adding new agencies and introducing modern equipments.
