20 members of the Eritrean Naval Forces who have been taking training in marine engineering, marine sciences and others from one up to three years in the Eritrean Naval Force Training Center graduated at diploma level. Asmara, 23 May 2010 – 20 members of the Eritrean Naval Forces who have been taking training in marine engineering, marine sciences and others from one up to three years in the Eritrean Naval Force Training Center graduated at diploma level.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, during which the Commander of the Eritrean Naval Forces, Maj. General Humed Karikare, Ministers, Veteran fighter Romodan Mohammad Nur, Army commanders, Administrators and other invited guests took part, the Minister of Defense, Gen. Sibhat Ephrem, underscored that the Government is making substantial investment to upgrade youth’s capacity in all domains and equip them with relevant knowledge. He also called on the graduates to apply the knowledge they have acquired and work diligently to exploit the national marine resource for the benefit of the people and the country.
Head of the Eritrean Naval Force staff, Brig. General Fitsum Gebrehiwot, on his part pointed out that the Eritrean Navy is striving to upgrade manpower capacity and making relentless endeavors to safeguard the extensive strategic coastline and islands.
Commander of the training centre of the Naval Force, Lt. Colonel Tesfamariam Si’ele said that the training courses were offered in developed educational system, and it is graduating trainees for the second time.
The trainees received their awards and certificates from different officials.
