President Isaias leaves for Sudan to attend Presidential inauguration ceremony
President Isaias Afwerki left for Khartoum today to attend the Presidential inauguration ceremony of the Sudanese leader Omar Hassen Al-Beshir at the invitation of the Sudanese government.
Asmara, 26 May 2010 – President Isaias Afwerki left for Khartoum today to attend the Presidential inauguration ceremony of the 
Sudanese leader Omar Hassen Al-Beshir at the invitation of the Sudanese government.
Following the presidential inauguration ceremony due to be held tomorrow, President Isaias would hold talks with various Sudanese officials on bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The President was accorded official welcoming ceremony by President Omar Al-Beshir 
and other senior Sudanese officials on arrival at Khartoum International Airport.
Reports also indicated that members of the Eritrean Community in Sudan accorded warm welcome to President Isaias on arrival at the Airport.
It is to be recalled that President Omar Hassen Al-Beshir was elected for the second time as Sudanese leader during the elections last April.
