NCEW Striving to Reinforce Culture of Hard Work

The Secretary General of the NCEW, Mr. Tekeste Baire, said that the Confederation is working diligently towards realizing its cherished objective of nurturing a dedicated and productive workforce in which the  rights of members is fully respected.

Asmara, 29 May 2010 – The Secretary General of the NCEW, Mr. Tekeste Baire, said that the Confederation is working diligently towards realizing its cherished objective of nurturing a dedicated and productive workforce in which the  rights of members is fully respected.

He told ERINA that vigorous endeavors are being made to reinforce the culture of hard work, and thereby nurture disciplined and dedicated workers. In this respect, Mr. Tekeste pointed out that the implementation of wide-ranging development programs in all the administrative regions fully attests to the productivity of the workforce.

The NCEW Secretary General further underscored that the paramount role of the Eritrean workers in the achievement of independence and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, as well the heavy sacrifices they paid to this end occupy a special position in the nation’s history. The same commitment is also being manifested in the ongoing development endeavors, he elaborated.

Emphasizing the contribution of industrial peace in the development of national economy, Mr. Tekeste outlined the prevailing positive relations among employers, employees and the Government.
