50% Of The Construction Of Residential Houses Completed In Derhlase And Debremariam

Over 50% of the construction process of residential housing complex in Areza and Mai-Mene, Southern region for 1,358 resettled families has been finalized, Mr. Afwerki Russom, supervisor of the project disclosed.
Areza, 30 May 2010 – Over 50% of the construction process of residential housing complex in Areza and Mai-Mene, Southern region for 1,358 resettled families has been finalized, Mr. Afwerki Russom, supervisor of the project disclosed.

Accordingly, the project is not only confined to housing complex projects in Derhlasie, Hantsetsa, Debremariam, Daero and Haran but also outlined master plan to establish various institutions and develop the respective areas in the future.

Mr. Afewerki indicated that the residential complex comprising of 1,400 residential houses would provide 1 room and 300 square meters of land for each family. 

The Administrator of Debremariam, Mr. Ybirah Tekie, said on his part that 6 water distribution centers, a new school and a transport service have been made available in the respective administrative areas owing to the government’s substantial investment.

Finally, Mr. Ybirah commended the local inhabitants for their active endeavors in improving their livelihoods.
