Eritrea making relentless efforts to develop strong relations of partnership with the Arab world including Lebanon: Honorary Consul
The Eritrean Honorary Consul in Lebanon, Mr. Abdalla Al-Kesan Metreji, said that Eritrea is making relentless efforts to develop strong relations of partnership with the Arab world in general and Lebanon in particular. Asmara, 10 June 2010 – The Eritrean Honorary Consul in Lebanon, Mr. Abdalla Al-Kesan Metreji, said that Eritrea is making relentless efforts to develop strong relations of partnership with the Arab world in general and Lebanon in particular.
He made the remarks in connection with the 19th anniversary celebrations of Eritrean Independence Day, in which representatives of the Lebanese President, Chairman of the country’s Assembly and the Prime Minister, as well as Assembly members. The Honorary Consul went on to say that Eritrea achieved independence through waging long armed struggle against all odds and that at present it is exerting unremitting endeavors to promote peace and cooperation both at the regional and international level.
Mr. Abdalla Al-Kesan Metreji further indicated that Eritrea possesses various natural resources, including a strategic location which constitutes an asset for the development of tourism. In this regard, he called on Lebanese investors to avail themselves of the prevailing investment opportunities in Eritrea.
The Honorary Consul also expressed readiness to strive for closer relations of cooperation between the brotherly people of Eritrea and Lebanon.
