Team comprising Central Region Administrator, Ministers and Army Commanders observes soil and water conservation endeavors in the region

A team headed by the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwot, which also includes the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berha, the Minister of Land, Water and Environment, Mr. Tesfai Gebreselase, and Maj. General Filipos Weldeyohannes, as well as department heads and agricultural experts observed soil and water conservation activities in the region. Members of the team also exchanged views in the course of the tour.

Serejeka, 10 June 2010 – A team headed by the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwot, which also includes the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berha, the Minister of Land, Water and Environment, Mr. Tesfai Gebreselase, and Maj. General Filipos Weldeyohannes, as well as department heads and agricultural experts observed soil and water conservation activities in the region. Members of the team also exchanged views in the course of the tour.

The team conducted a tour of Shimangus lailai, Mekerka, Ona-Nalai, Teareshi, Geshinashim, Afdeu, Adi-Jin, Embaderho and Itabir Hill- all in Serejeka sub-zone. Members of the team exchanged views on ways of reinforcing soil and water conservation activities in the area.

It is known that 23 out of the 28 villages in Serejeka sub-zone have carried out significant work accomplishment to this end.
