Inhabitants Of Afabet Reiterated Readiness To Enhance Contribution To Support Martyrs’ Families

The inhabitants of Afabet sub-zone stated that they are making relentless efforts to extend support to families of fallen heroes. Afabet, 20 June 2010 – The inhabitants of Afabet sub-zone stated that they are making relentless efforts to extend support to families of fallen heroes.

Commending the people and government’s support of the families of fallen heroes, the inhabitations reiterated readiness to further promote contribution to this end.

The head of PFDJ branch in Afabet, Mr. Omar Al-amin said that the inhabitants donated 54,000 Nakfa to martyrs trust fund over the past six months.

In addition, various activities including renovating homes, terraces and agricultural activities were conducted in which over 8,000 people participated.

Moreover, the Government has paid over 3 million Nakfa to the families of fallen heroes in the sub zone, and over 319,000 Nakfa was donated by Eritrean nationals inside the country and abroad in support of 52 families.

Similarly, the Government pays about 10 million Nakfa to martyrs’ families in Areza sub-zone annually, and over 97,000 Nakfa has been paid to 14 martyrs’ families last year by nationals residing abroad, according to the branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in the sub-zone.
