Concerted Efforts Of All Institutions Prerequisite To Quality Education

In a meeting conducted with the inhabitants of Aretai, Habero sub-zone, the head of the Education Ministry’s branch office in Anseba region, Mr. Bokretsion Habtemichael, stressed the importance of active participation of all government institutions and the public towards ensuring quality education.
Habero, 24 June 2010 – In a meeting conducted with the inhabitants of Aretai, Habero sub-zone, the head of the Education Ministry’s branch office in Anseba region, Mr. Bokretsion Habtemichael, stressed the importance of active participation of all government institutions and the public towards ensuring quality education.

Pointing out that the Government is making relentless efforts to provide equitable educational opportunity to all citizens, he urged teachers and parents to encourage their children to avail themselves of such opportunity provided by the Government at substantial expenditure.  

Mr. Bokretsion further stated that student-centered approach has been introduced so as to promote their creative role, in addition to the putting in place of laboratory, solar-based power supply and the renovation of school infrastructure. He also indicated that the opening of higher educational institutions and colleges are playing significant role in reinforcing endeavors to train skilled manpower.

The participants of the meeting adopted a number of resolutions, including the opening of boarding school and undertaking extensive campaign to enhance the people’s awareness, among others.
