Tessenei, 25 June 2010 – The Seed Experiment Plant in Tessenei is providing impetus to the ongoing endeavors to boost agricultural production in the area, stated Mr. Hibtizgi Woldegabir, expert in seed filtering machine in the plant.
H explained that seeds utilized for agricultural purposes after being scientifically experimented in the Plant tend to yield good harvest. Mr. Hibtizgi further stated that pesticides are being spread in the experimented seeds ready for cultivation which would prevent them from being damaged by various pests.
He went on to say that various types of seeds are being sent to the Plant for experimentation, and that such seeds are yielding better output both in quality and quantity once cultivated. Over 1,000 quintals of seeds are currently under experiment in the Plant, the greater portion of which would be cultivated in the Aligidir Agricultural Project. Mr. Hibtizgi called on the farming community to utilize experimented seeds, and thereby boost production.
