Adi-Keih sub-zone: Women engaged in vegetable farming bearing encouraging outcome

Women engaged in vegetable farming through forming association in Adi-Keih sub-zone are registering encouraging outcome, according to Ms. Kahsa Mehari, head of life skill in the sub-zone.
Adi-Keih, 26  June 2010 – Women engaged in vegetable farming through forming association in Adi-Keih sub-zone are registering encouraging outcome, according to Ms. Kahsa Mehari, head of life skill in the sub-zone.

She explained that women engaged in vegetable farming in the administrative areas of Awhinie, Maelewia and Tekonda’e are making commendable progress.

Ms. Kahsa pointed out that a total of 25 women members of Sinit Association that was  established in 2002 through the collaboration of the Government and partners have succeeded in cultivating 6 hectares of vegetable farming which in turn makes due contribution in stabilizing the market.

She went on to say that women’s awareness regarding cooking and domestic vegetable farming is on the rise.
