Enhanced Efforts Needed For Successful Implementation Of Teaching-Learning Process

In a meeting conducted in the port city of Massawa aimed at evaluating the state of education at regional level, the director of social service in the Northern Red Sea region, Mr. Tesfai Tekle, stressed the need for enhanced efforts for successful implementation of teaching and learning process. Massawa, 27 June 2010 – In a meeting conducted in the port city of Massawa aimed at evaluating the state of education at regional level, the director of social service in the Northern Red Sea region, Mr. Tesfai Tekle, stressed the need for enhanced efforts for successful implementation of teaching and learning process.

In the meeting in which branch heads of educational services, supervisors, directors and others took part, Mr. Tesfai gave extensive briefings regarding the participation of students in general and female students in particular.

Furthermore, an in-depth discussion was held focusing on teaching and learning process, the causes of student dropout, the general state of schools and future plans for the academic year of 2010/2011, among others. The participants then adopted a number of resolutions and recommendations.

Finally, Mr. Tesfai called on the society at large to upgrade their role in the ongoing efforts to improve student’s competence in addition to the expansion of schools.
