Protective Walls Constructed Along The Tiwalet Strip

As part of the endeavors to maintain the environmental sanitation of the port city of Massawa and the sea coast, protective walls have been constructed along the Tiwalet strip.

 

Massawa, 27 June 2010 – As part of the endeavors to maintain the environmental sanitation of the port city of Massawa and the sea coast, protective walls have been constructed along the Tiwalet strip.

The Administrator of Massawa, Ms. Fana Tesfamariam, said that walls were constructed through the concerted effort of national construction companies, the municipality of the port city, government institutions and public. She also added that the construction process was completed on the set timeframe and commended the participation of the residents of the port city.

Ms. Fana went on to disclose that a plan has been outlined with the consultation of experts to find a more appropriate location for the historical boats that are now within the Northern Red Sea Museum.
