Administrator Urges Teachers to Strive for Nurturing Productive Students

In a meeting with supervisors, school directors and teachers, the Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms.Tsegereda Woldegergis, urged teachers to enhance their role in efforts to  nurture dynamic and productive students.

Massawa, 28 June 2010 – In a meeting with supervisors, school directors and teachers, the Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms.Tsegereda Woldegergis, urged teachers to enhance their role in efforts to  nurture dynamic and productive students.

She indicated that the Government had and is constructing a number of schools in  remote areas of the region at substantial expenditure, as part of efforts to provide equitable social services to all. As a result, the awareness of the society about the significance of education continues to grow, the Administrator added.

Commending the dedication being demonstrated by teachers, Ms. Tsegereda highlighted the need for redoubling efforts aimed at sending children leading nomadic way of life to school. She further noted that endeavors are underway to improve the living condition of teachers, and that on top of the programs envisaged by the Government, the regional Administration would do its level best in supporting teachers.

The Administrator took note of students’ result in the 2009/2010 academic year examination, and urged teachers to strive for still greater achievements.
