The inhabitants of Gerset expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of the just finalized construction of a dam and the plains leveled for agricultural purposes. 

Gerset, 1 July 2010 – The inhabitants of Gerset expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of the just finalized construction of a dam and the plains leveled for agricultural purposes. 

They stated that modern agricultural facilities have been put in place in the extensive farmland never utilized for agriculture before. The local inhabitants went on to say that the construction of the dam would bring about noticeable improvement in their standard of living.

Besides, the dam is playing major role in providing reliable potable water supply for the inhabitants along with their livestock, in addition to enriching underground water resource. They further expressed readiness to redouble efforts towards achieving food security.
