Sudanese Newspaper Expresses Admiration to the Close Relations Between the Eritrean People and the Leadership

The Sudanese Arabic daily, Al-Khertum, expressed admiration to the existing close relations between the people and the leadership in Eritrea. Asmara, 2 June 2010 – The Sudanese Arabic daily, Al-Khertum, expressed admiration to the existing close relations between the people and the leadership in Eritrea.

In an article published on 24 June highlighting various domains in Eritrea, the private newspaper indicated that unlike in other countries, there exists close relations between the people and the leadership in Eritrea, besides similarity in life style between both sides. In this respect, it noted that such harmony and coordination have a vital role to play in reinforcing the achievements being registered in the nation-building process.

Al-Khertum further pointed out that President Isaias Afwerki is an exemplary leader who is selfless and leads a similar living standard with that of the general public. Unlike other leaders who reside in palaces and best villas, while at the same time plundering national  resources purely for their vested interests, President Isaias’ daily activities or living standard are similar with that of the entire population, the paper elaborated. And as such, these attributes onstitute Eritrea’s major and unique asset.

The Sudanese paper went on to say that Asmara City is the paradise of East Africa in terms of peace and security, besides being charming and neat.
