Tessenei, 5 July 2010 – The Tessenei-stationed Homib Construction Company is making significant contribution in efforts to achieve food security and construction of residential housing complexes, according to Mr. Kidane Woldu, manager of the Company.
He explained that the Company’s concerted action is in line with endeavors to ensure social justice. Noting that the Company heavily relied on human labor in carrying out its activities in the year 2003, Mr. Kidane indicated that at present it has been fully transformed to the use of machineries, which in turn enabled it to accomplish effective tasks.
Accordingly, the company has so far implemented various projects, including the construction of the Afhimbol Sugar Factory and water diversion schemes in Balqai, Hashenkit, Deriesa and Angulit. It also accomplished effective tasks in collaboration with Bidho Construction Company as regards the construction of micro-dam and renovation of canal in Aligidir, in addition to the construction and renovation of various schools in Bultubiyay, Nacfa, Afabet and Emahmime.
Moreover, Mr. Kidane stated that the Company is engaged in the construction of about 500 foam-made residential housing complexes in Gerset that would accommodate 200 nationals. Out of this, the construction of 200 residential housing has already been finalized, he added.
Homib Construction Company is constructing a number of residential houses in Tessenei, besides the construction of Eri-Tel building complex and a hotel comprising business ventures that is owned by Gemel Association.
