10th Eritrea Festival In The U.K. Conducted In Patriotic Spirit

The 10th Eritrea Festival in the U.K. was conducted in London from July 2 to 4 in a patriotic spirit.
Asmara, 6 July 2010 – The 10th Eritrea Festival in the U.K. was conducted in London from July 2 to 4 in a patriotic spirit.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival in which Foreign Minister Osman Saleh participated, the chairman of resolute rebuff committee, Dr. Tewolde Woldekidan, stressed the paramount importance of holding festivals in bringing Eritrean nationals together. It also has a vital role to play in reinforcing national identity and bequeathing cherished societal values to future generations, he added.

Reports indicated that the Festival was characterized with strong patriotic zeal in which Eritrean citizens from all walks of life took active participation.

The participants of the festival said that this year’s event was special in its content and coverage. Various educational and entertaining programs featured in the course of the 3-day festival.
