Eritrea Festival in Italy conducted in patriotic spirit

Eritrean nationals residing in Italy conducted a Festival with a patriotic spirit, during which they expressed determination to strength resolute rebuff against all acts of hostility.

 

Asmara, 13 July 2010 – Eritrean nationals residing in Italy conducted a Festival with a patriotic spirit, during which they expressed determination to strength resolute rebuff against all acts of hostility.

Foreign Minister Osman Saleh opened the festival that was held from July 9 to 11 in Milan. Various programs, including community sites, arts and painting exhibitions, as well as cultural shows featured in the course of the event in which a number of Eritreans and foreign friends of Eritrea took part.

Mr. Osman gave briefings to the festival participants on the development achievements registered in all domains, especially health, education, infrastructure and achieving food security. He also elaborated on the programs envisaged to further score still gratifying accomplishments.

The Foreign Minister further lauded Eritrean citizens in the Diaspora for their strong denunciation against the vicious US sanctions resolution on Eritrea. Mr. Osman expressed conviction that they would continue the resolute rebuff in an enhanced manner. 

At the closing ceremony, Minster Osman and the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Zemede Tekle, awarded prizes to those national associations and individuals that made special contribution for the success of the Festival, as well as those who demonstrated excellence in various competitions.
