Eritrean Youth from Abroad Express Readiness to Reflect Role of Community Associations in Promoting Nationalism

Eritrean youth from different parts of the world flowing into the country to participate in the 4th National Youth Festival expressed their readiness to reflect the positive outcomes achieved in cultivating patriotism and promoting national history.

Asmara, 14 July 2010- Eritrean youth from different parts of the world flowing into the country to participate in the 4th National Youth Festival expressed their readiness to reflect the positive outcomes achieved in cultivating patriotism and promoting national history.

The program that will be led by Eritrean youth from abroad in Sawa will highlight the role of Eritrean communities, the YPFDJ, parents as well as different national gatherings in promoting the contribution of young nationals.

Indicating that more than 600 young Eritreans will participate in the Festival from London alone, Ms. Yohana Paulos said that such massive influx of the youth is an indication of the activities being carried out by the communities and the YPFDJ.

Another youth from London, Mr. Teame Sium said that they have made the necessary preparations to engage in sports activities and exchange educational experiences with fellow young Eritreans and pointed out that the Festival provides grounds for identifying one’s strong points and discuss one’s ambitions and visions.

Ms. Meskerem Solomon from Boston, USA also expressed her happiness to participate in the Festival and said that she plans to write and talk about the festival and the development endeavors in the country when she goes back. 

It is to be noted that around 2,000 young nationals have arrived in the country from different parts of the world to participate in the 4th National Youth Festival that will be held from 16 to 19 July, 2010 in Sawa.
