Proper Conservation Of Renewable Energy Vital To Obtain Reliable Services

The Director of Renewable Energy Center in the Ministry of Energy and Mining, Mr. Debesay Gebrehiwot, stressed the need for proper conservation of renewable energy  projects provided in various areas of the country especially in remote areas of the country so as to obtain reliable and sustainable services.
Asmara, 15 July 2010 – The Director of Renewable Energy Center in the Ministry of Energy and Mining, Mr. Debesay Gebrehiwot, stressed the need for proper conservation of renewable energy  projects provided in various areas of the country especially in remote areas of the country so as to obtain reliable and sustainable services.

Pointing out that the project is making due contribution in improving the beneficiaries’ lives, he underscored the importance of promoting people’s awareness in a bid to maintain the already provided services of potable water supply and health.  Mr. Debesay went on to add that the Ministry is actively engaged in regulating and repairing the installed renewable energy projects, and courses are offered to train manpower from the local inhabitants.

The head of water resource in the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Russom Ghebremariam, said that they took trainings focused on renewable energy project and the training was helpful in their daily work activities.

Reports disclosed that the Eritrean Renewable Energy Center has so far provided training courses to skilled manpower from regions of Anseba, Gash-Barka, Southern and Northern Red Sea regions including sub-zones.
