372 Prisoners Of Law In Sembel Rehabilitation And Correctional Center Graduate

372 prisoners of law in Sembel Rehabilitation and Correctional Center graduated yesterday, 58 of which graduated in accounting, 81 in computer application and the rest 233 in academic courses.

Asmara, 16 July 2010 – 372 prisoners of law in Sembel Rehabilitation and Correctional Center graduated yesterday, 58 of which graduated in accounting, 81 in computer application and the rest 233 in academic courses.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Commander of the Center, Maj. Mehari Andeberhan, pointed out that the courses provided are aimed at rehabilitating and correcting law prisoners so that they can become disciplined citizens, and went on to express his appreciation to partners who made due contribution for the success of the task. He then added that the Center is working on creating equal educational opportunities to law prisoner as other citizens, and that such endeavors are bearing fruitful outcome.

The head of Prisoner Administration at the Center, Lt. Tesfahiwot Gebrai, disclosed that various training courses and educational training are provided so as to help the law prisoners become productive citizens.

The graduates received certificates from Commander of Eritrean Rehabilitation and Correction Service, Brigadier General Girmai Mehari and other officials.
