Two modern women training centers are under construction in Mendefera and Senafe towns at a total cost of 40 million Nakfa through members of the NUEW in the U.K. and Washington D.C., according to Ms. Weini Negash, head of the NUEW branch in Southern region.
Mendefera, 23 July 2010 – Two modern women training centers are under construction in Mendefera and Senafe towns at a total cost of 40 million Nakfa through members of the NUEW in the U.K. and Washington D.C., according to Ms. Weini Negash, head of the NUEW branch in Southern region.
The G+1 building complex comprises offices, assembly hall and other facilities. Speaking at a luncheon hosted in Mendefera for members of the Debwin Construction Company who are actively engaged in the task, Ms. Weini said that the construction of the two training centers fully attests to the strong attachment of Eritrean mothers residing abroad with the Homeland.
The head of the project in Mendefera, Eng. Ephrem Afwerki, indicated that it is being implemented on about 2,750 sq. km. and that it includes training classrooms, offices, assembly hall, children’s play ground and exhibition hall, among others. The construction of the building complex is expected to be finalized within 15 months, he added.
