PFDJ Official Calls On Every Citizen To Enhance Contribution For The Success Of The Nation’s Development Programs

Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at PFDJ, called on every citizen to enhance consciousness so as to make relentless efforts for the success of the nation’s development programs in view of the fact 2010 is a year of integrated national resolute rebuff and reinforcement of all national capabilities. He made the remarks in a seminar he conducted for the participants of Eritrea Festival in Scandinavia.

Asmara, 1 August 2010 – Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at PFDJ, called on every citizen to enhance consciousness so as to make relentless efforts for the success of the nation’s development programs in view of the fact 2010 is a year of integrated national resolute rebuff and reinforcement of all national capabilities. He made the remarks in a seminar he conducted for the participants of Eritrea Festival in Scandinavia.

In the seminar regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and future action plans, Mr. Yemane commended the organized and integrated national resolute rebuff on the part of the Eritrean people against the unjust sanctions resolution of the Security Council. “The Eritrean developed the culture of being prepared for any eventuality as a result of which the more than half a century long hostilities by successive Administrations in Washington and their agents have failed,” he added.

Mr. Yemane further explained that the endeavors and investment made by the people and government to build a strong economy while challenging all ploys is progressing towards a promising future. He also said that the impressive achievements registered in agriculture and infrastructure in various parts of the country attest to the effectiveness of the undertaken programs.  

Pointing out that a society equipped with knowledge is the cornerstone for development, Mr. Yemane stated that major achievements have been attained in the expansion of social service rendering institutions such as health, education and transportation, and the efforts to introduce strong organization and communal work frame for Eritreans living abroad are heading in the right direction.

As regards to the diplomatic affairs, the PFDJ official said that ensuring regional stability is given top priority, and successful diplomatic efforts have been carried out that serve the welfare of the peoples of the region. He then called on nationals residing abroad, particularly the youths to redouble their contribution to this end.

The 12th Eritrea Festival of Eritreans living in Scandinavia was conducted from 30 July to August 1st in which various entertaining programs, seminars concerning the objective situation of the Homeland and an exhibition by the Ministry of Information exhibition, among others were featured.
