ENWVA extends sewing machine to 30 women disabled veterans

As part of efforts to enable disabled nationals become self-supporting, the Eritrean National War-Disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) rehabilitated 30 disabled women through extending them sewing machine.

Asmara, 7 August 2010 – As part of efforts to enable disabled nationals become self-supporting, the Eritrean National War-Disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) rehabilitated 30 disabled women through extending them sewing machine.

The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Gebreberhan Iyasu, stated that the endeavors being made to improve the living standard of disabled citizens are bearing encouraging outcome. In this regard, he explained that the Association, in collaboration with nationalists inside the country and abroad, as well as partners, has been rehabilitating members through ventures in vegetable farming, bee farming and various business activities.

Mr. Gebreberhan further commended the tasks being carried out on the part of Eritrean citizens residing abroad towards improving the life style of war-disabled veterans.

Expressing satisfaction with the continued assistance being extended by the Government and the general public towards improving their standard of living, the beneficiaries noted the significance of such support in enabling them become self-supporting.
