Farming Community in Areza Sub-Zone Enhancing Support to Martyrs’ Families

Members of the farming community in Areza sub-zone are enhancing activities in support of families of fallen heroes. Areza, 9 August 2010 – Members of the farming community in Areza sub-zone are enhancing activities in support of families of fallen heroes.

Accordingly, about 742 hectares belonging to a total of 1,332 martyrs’ families have been cultivated through popular campaign, while residential houses of 45 families of martyrs renovated. New residential houses of 11 martyrs’ families in Hantsetsa and Darhlase were also built through the participation of the farming community.

The participants of the campaign stated that the initiative taken is in line with the commitment to honor the trust of martyrs and asserted readiness to fulfill what is expected of them in assisting families of fallen heroes.

The Administrator of Hatsina administrative area, Mr. Mihreteab Fiseha, said that the local inhabitants would continue to support martyrs’ families from cultivation up to crop harvest, in addition to extending other forms of assistance. 

The beneficiaries on their part expressed satisfaction with the continued support being extended on the part of the people and the Government.

Meanwhile, mothers in Areza semi-urban center visited and hosted entertaining program for 11 children of martyrs being rehabilitated in Areza.
