Adi-Keih sub-zone: Health clinics playing major role in easing work load

Health clinics in Adi-Keih sub-zone are rendering commendable service, thus relieving the hospital in the town from work load, stated Dr. Mulugieta Haile, medical director of Adi-Keih Hospital.
Adi-Keih, 13 August 2010 – Health clinics in Adi-Keih sub-zone are rendering commendable service, thus relieving the hospital in the town from work load, stated Dr. Mulugieta Haile, medical director of Adi-Keih Hospital.

He explained that newly opened clinics along with the necessary skilled manpower and equipments in different parts of the sub-zone are playing significant role in ensuring public health. The number of pregnant mother giving birth in health centers is also gaining momentum as a result of the growing public awareness, which in turn contributed to the dramatic decline of mother and child mortality rate during delivery, Dr. Mulugieta elaborated.

He further indicated that successful surgeries on eye and giving birth-related problems have been undertaken on 244 patients over the past six months. Dr. Mulugieta called on the local inhabitants to enhance environmental sanitation campaign and back up health activities.

The inhabitants on their part expressed satisfaction with the commendable service being provided by health institutions which attests to the substantial investment being made to ensure social justice.

There exist a hospital and 4 health clinics in Adi-Keih sub-zone, according to reports.
