Inhabitants of Halhal sub-zone express satisfaction for getting commendable health service

The inhabitants of various administrative areas in Halhal sub-zone expressed satisfaction for getting easy and reliable health service in their respective areas.
Halhal, 13 August 2010 – The inhabitants of various administrative areas in Halhal sub-zone expressed satisfaction for getting easy and reliable health service in their respective areas.

They explained that previously they were compelled to travel over 60 kilometers to get access to health service in Keren town. At present, however, traveling long distance to obtain such service is no more thanks to the newly opened health institutions in their localities, they added.

The local inhabitants particularly emphasized the paramount importance of the newly introduced service in ensuring the health of pregnant mothers and children. Indicating that no single national in the sub-zone is now facing any problem as a result of lack of health service,   they pointed out that the number of pregnant mothers who make medical checkup in health centers continues to grow. In this respect, the inhabitants lauded the strenuous efforts being exerted by the Government to promote public health.

The head of Halhal Health Center, Ms. Luchia Elias, said on her part that special attention is being given to the task of ensuring mother and child care, and highlighted the need for coordinated endeavors to multiply the number of pregnant mother giving birth in health institutions.

Reports indicated that there are 3 health institutions in Halhal sub-zone that are providing service to the inhabitants of 8 administrative areas.
