Eritrean cyclist Daniel Teklehaimanot who is participating in Tour de l’ Avenir race in France scored impressive victory in the mountain sprint race that was conducted yesterday.
Asmara, 7 September 2010 – Eritrean cyclist Daniel Teklehaimanot who is participating in Tour de l’ Avenir race in France scored impressive victory in the mountain sprint race that was conducted yesterday.
In the 144 km-long race starting from Verzon city to St. Amont Montrand city involving three mountain stage crossing lines, cyclist Daniel stood 3rd in the first two stages.
On the basis of yesterday’s three mountain stages race, cyclist Daniel is assuming 4th rank by scoring 4 points.
In the first phase of the Tour de l’ Avenir race yesterday, German, Australian and Polish cyclists crossed the finishing line from 1st to 3rd rank respectively.
The Spanish cycling team is leading the race, while Daniel’s team has improved its position from the previous 7th rank to 5th.
Meanwhile, the second phase of the Tour de l’ Avenir race continued today covering 150 kilometers and involving 5 mountain race stages in which cyclist Daniel is expected to take good advantage of it.
