Southern Red Sea regional Administration extends incentives to students scoring excellent mark in matriculation exams
The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Osman Mohammed Omar, extended incentives to 47 students in the region who scored full mark in the National School Leaving Certificate Exams, as well as those who get scores for degree and diploma in the course of the 2009/10 academic year at Warsay-Yikaalo School in Sawa.
Assab, 7 September 2010 – The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Osman Mohammed Omar, extended incentives to 47 students in the region who scored full mark in the National School Leaving Certificate Exams, as well as those who get scores for degree and diploma in the course of the 2009/10 academic year at Warsay-Yikaalo School in Sawa.
The Administrator noted the substantial investment being made by the Government to promote the development of the education sector and stated that the result scored in this year’s matriculation exams is quite encouraging that prompts for exerting still more efforts.
The head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, Mr. Abdalla Mohammed Osman, explained that those students who scored full mark in the exams are the first in the region to join the Zagre awardees group, which in turn fully attests to the investment being made in the region and the achievements registered.
The head of NUEYS branch in the region, Mr. Ismail Mussa, said on his part that the excellence demonstrated by students in their academic pursuit constitutes pride to their families and the nation at large. In this connection, he asserted that the Union would as ever extend the necessary support to the students.
On the occasion, monetary incentive contributed by the regional Administration and school materials by the NUEYS was extended to the students.
