Inhabitants Of Adi-Keih Sub-Zone Express Satisfaction With The Newly Installed Electricity Service

The inhabitants of Adi-Keih sub-zone expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of electricity service that was installed recently.

Adi-Keih, 17 September 2010 – The inhabitants of Adi-Keih sub-zone expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of electricity service that was installed recently.

They noted the problem they used to encounter while using oil lamps and stated that the installation of power supply in the area would pave the way for speedy urbanization.

The local inhabitants further explained that the electricity service would enable them to closely follow up national and international events, besides providing impetus to the already introduced social services such as potable water supply, pharmacy and a number of cafes.

The head of the Eritrean Electricity Corporation branch in the sub-zone, Mr. Hailemichael Mebrahtu, indicated that the inhabitants of Der’a, Berhienet, Awuhnie, Mendefera, Adi-Kanta, Mealewia, Adi-Wegera, Hawatsu, Ziban-Zigib and Embeito have now got access to 12-hour electricity service. Over 800 power counters and 17 transformers have been installed to this end, he added.

Mr. Hailemichael went on to say that the local inhabitants demonstrated participation in the installation process through raising money and employing their labor.
