Ministry Extends School Materials In Assistance To Needy Students In Anseba Region

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in Anseba region extended school materials in assistance to about 700 needy students so as to avoid student dropout due to economic problem.
Keren, 17 September 2010 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in Anseba region extended school materials in assistance to about 700 needy students so as to avoid student dropout due to economic problem.

The head of the branch office, Mr. Girmai Bokretsion, pointed out that the assistance is in line with programs to support needy compatriots, and called on parents to properly follow up their children’s academic performance.

The beneficiaries are needy students at the elementary and junior level in the sub-zones of Keren, Elabered, Hagaz, Adi-Tekelezan and Hamelmalo, and that the extended school materials would enable them to pursue the entire academic year without any problem.

The beneficiaries noted the importance of the assistance in encouraging them to continue their education up to the higher level.
