Afabet town obtained 24-hours electricity supply, according to Mr. Dawit Reka, head of the Eritrean Electricity Corporation center in the town. Afabet, 19 September 2010 – Afabet town obtained 24-hours electricity supply, according to Mr. Dawit Reka, head of the Eritrean Electricity Corporation center in the town.
He stated that the Corporation distributed the line from Keren town, installed five transformers and over 550 counters were extended to residents and enterprises.
Mr. Dawit also called on beneficiaries to utilize the provided services cautiously. He further explained that the two towns between Keren and Afabet would get electricity soon.
The inhabitants of Afabet pointed out that remote areas of the country are being able to register improvement as a result of the Government endeavor’s to narrow the gap between urban and rural centers.
