Asmara, 22 September 2010 – Members of the general public highlighted the need for relocating vehicle safety examining site at Tsetserat here in the capital to another more convenient site, as it is exposing customers to unwanted wastage of time and energy, besides hindering other activities in the area.
They explained that although announcement was made in 2009 by the Land Transport branch in the Central region to relocate the place to another suitable site, the plan has not yet been implemented. In this connection, the members called on the concerned party to work diligently towards tackling the problem.
In reply he gave to ERINA, the head of land transport branch in the Central region, Mr. Jemal Yasin, pointed out that the program failed to be implemented due to technical problems, and that there are plans to relocate the site in 2011.
