Efforts underway to improve the quality of health service in Foro

Efforts are underway in the sub-zone of Foro, Northern Red Sea region, to promote health care for the local inhabitants, stated Mr. Mengisteab Tewolde, head of the health center in the sub-zone.

Foro, 23 September 2010 – Efforts are underway in the sub-zone of Foro, Northern Red Sea region, to promote health care for the local inhabitants, stated Mr. Mengisteab Tewolde, head of the health center in the sub-zone.

He said that the health center provides overall health services, including children under 5 years of age, pre-and post-delivery care to mothers and vaccination, among others.

Mr. Mengisteab explained that health promotion campaigns are being undertaken so as to upgrade the awareness of the general public. According to reports, the health station has rendered service to about 4,000 patients over the past six months alone in the sub-zone.
