Keren, 28 September 2010 – School directors in different parts of Anseba region called on parents to encourage and properly supervise their children’s academic performance so that they may demonstrate excellence in education.

The school directors told ERINA that the participation of the society at large and parents in particular in the teaching-learning process is a prerequisite for the success of the substantial investment being made by the Government towards upgrading the quality of education. In this connection, they urged parents to work tirelessly in closely following up student performance so that their children may become competitive and outstanding.

Moreover, the school director highlighted the significance of strengthening student-teacher-parent relations in registering improved academic performance.

The head of basic education in the region, Mr. Hagos Adhana, indicated that the rate of expansion of schools in Anseba region is quite commendable thanks to the strenuous efforts being exerted. He also called on the general public to avail themselves of the available opportunity.
