Eritrea registers significant victories in international forums: Mr. Osman Saleh

Foreign Minister Osman Saleh said that Eritrea has registered significant victories in international forums in line with the constructive policy it pursued towards foiling the vicious and unjust Resolution 1907.

Asmara, 28 September 2010 – Foreign Minister Osman Saleh said that Eritrea has registered significant victories in international forums in line with the constructive policy it pursued towards foiling the vicious and unjust Resolution 1907.

He made the remarks in a seminar he conducted on September 26 to Eritrean nationals residing in New York City and its environs focusing on the resolute rebuff at the national and international level.  The Foreign Minister outlined the intensive public and diplomatic campaign conducted in 2010 to rebuff the US-engineered unwarranted and unjust sanctions resolution in continuation of Washington’s adventurous policies in the Horn region. Mr. Osman further pointed out that the demonstrations staged in Geneva, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Melbourne in particular fully attest to the firm unity and capability of the Eritrean people.

Despite the fact that the resolute rebuff waged by the people and Government of Eritrea has made a major positive  impact on nations and international organizations, the US Administration and anti-Eritrea servant quarters nonetheless keep on resorting to acts of hostility and conspiracy, he elaborated. In this respect, the Foreign Minister underlined that Eritrea’s public and diplomatic resolute rebuff would continue until the set goal is realized.

The participants of the seminar on their part asserted that they would continue the national resolute rebuff with added vigor against sanctions resolution. They also expressed unflinching support to the Eritrean government’s commitment towards annulling the baseless and illegal sanctions resolution.
