Farmlands in Southern Denkalia yielding satisfactory harvest

The farming community in Southern Denkalia sub-zone said that the farmlands in Abo and Inkaale that have been put under cultivation are presently yielding satisfactory harvest.
Southern Denkalia, 30 September 2010 – The farming community in Southern Denkalia sub-zone said that the farmlands in Abo and Inkaale that have been put under cultivation are presently yielding satisfactory harvest.

Mr. Mohammed Awad who planted 300 palm trees over 3 hectares said that farmers in the locality were encouraged to plant such trees following a lecture offered to them by agricultural experts. He went on to say that the farm plots are in good condition.

Similarly, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed, who is engaged in the  cultivation of banana, vegetables, palm trees and the like in Inkaale, indicated that he has managed to raise financial benefits through channeling his products to the market in Assab and Harsile. 

Mr. Abdalla Ali, member of the Regional Assembly, pointed out that the Abo administrative area is suitable for irrigation farming as it is endowed with rich underground water.

Abo is located 24Km. south of Assab town.
